“Returning from the Wild!”
The Great Falls Balloon Festival is an annual festival held in Lewiston and Auburn, Maine along the Androscoggin River. It’s mission is to provide fundraising opportunities for local non-profit organizations and promote the Lewiston/Auburn area as a visitor destination.
For our 28th annual festival’s theme we are using ‘Returning from the Wild!’. We feel this was appropriate after canceling the festival for two years due to the pandemic, we are very excited to bring it back! Returning from the Pandemic!
We are excited to have “Simba the Lion” and “Tico the Sloth” as our special shape balloons joining us this year. Accompanying them will be more than a dozen other hot air balloons!

The Great Falls Balloon Festival provides guests with a complete experience when attending our festival. Activities include balloon launches, live entertainment, fireworks, a moon glow, a parade, pancake breakfasts, a carnival, fair food, craft and trade booths and more!
